Mail Forwarding FAQ

Does IBEX offer CRMA services?
Yes, we can act as your CMRA. Getting started is easy. Simply visit us online and sign-up for an account and secure log on.
What do I need to set up mail services?
The USPS has a 1583 form that must be filled out and submitted by anyone using a CMRA. This gives us permission to process your mail. Download the form here: https://about.usps.com/forms/ps1583.pdf. You can also get a copy at your local USPS office.
Are there special instructions for filling out the 1583 form?
Yes, there are instructions for the form and you can find a detailed step-by-step rundown on our website.
Can I have my mail automatically forwarded?
You can go through each piece of mail received on a case-by-case basis. We also allow for you to select automatic forwarding on a weekly or monthly basis. We will send out your mail in bulk based on the schedule you indicated.
Are there any items you do not handle?
If the item can be shipped, we can process it for you. Check the restrictions of the shipper you are using to make sure they will ship it for you.
Are there any special instructions on how to use my new address?
No, the address is used like any other physical mailing address you have.
My name is difficult to spell. If my mail has incorrect name spellings, will you be able to forward?
The most important thing we need is for the address to be correct. Misspelled names will not interfere with processing.
Do you have customer service people available for me to speak with?
We actually have several ways to contact us for assistance. Phone, fax, and email are available as well as a convenient online chat option.
Can I view my account billing history?
You can view all past bills and payments under your online account.
If I need to cancel, how can I do that?
Cancelling is very easy. Just login under your account and choose the cancel option. If you have had issues with the service you received from us, we would love to hear from you to give us the opportunity to rectify the problem before you decide to cancel.
Can other people have mail sent to this address?
You have the option to allow other people to use the address we have given to you. You may allow one or more persons to use the address, there is no limit. Please be advised that this may increase the pieces of mail that we process for you during the month. You have a piece limit on your service, so this may cause you to exceed this number. The additional people may be required to complete a 1583 form as well.
How is the mail processed?
We receive mail at our locations on your behalf. Based on the instructions you provide, we then forward that mail onto you at your current location.
Do you open my mail?
We do not open any correspondence or packages we receive for you. If you request that we check the contents, for whatever reason, we will do so. If that is the case, we will photograph both the outer package and the contents. The contents are then returned to their original packaging. The photos will be sent to you for your review.
How soon will I get my mail?
How long it takes for you to receive your mail depends on several things. First, it is the amount of time it takes for the carrier to process and deliver your items. Then, we need instructions from you on where you would like those items sent. The quicker you provide the instructions, the quicker you will receive your packages. We also allow for you to set up protocols in advance so that we eliminate the wait time on instructions.
If you scan items for me, will they be clear?
We constantly upgrade our equipment and our scanners are the latest and best available. We always use the highest quality imaging setting available.
Will junk mail count toward my count for the month?
We do not even process junk mail. It is immediately discarded upon receipt, so it will not count toward your monthly piece limit.
Can I come to your location to pick up my mail?
Our facilities are not set up for customer pick-ups.
